Spotify D&AD New Blood

During this brief I set out to create an app feature for Spotify which brings friends, family, music artist and other cultures together as can be seen below for the D&AD competition submission.

The Friends feed feature

The Friends feed page is a place where the user gets a chance to share to all their friends on a social like forum new artist they have discovered which could be possibly from other nations, there own imaginative thought out play-list that they have created and songs and share albums which they like. These shares can be liked and shared by friends so this emphasis the purpose of sharing.

The Artist Stories feature

On the “Artist Stories” page the purpose is to bring the fan and the musicians closer together. This is by allowing the artist to post short 30 second clips or pictures promoting their music of possible new songs coming out, sending a direct 30s video message to the fans or going live and performing music for their fans.

The Explore feature

This is by far the most interesting feature as this feature not only connects friends but connects different cultures and is great if the user is going on holiday to a country and they want to know the most current popular song currently within the country they are going on holiday to or somebody wants to listen too and share music from another country. This feature you type in a country such as USA, Sweden or Albania and once searched the results will come back as most streamed songs, most trending or most recent songs/albums from that country, the results can vary via filters. If the user finds a songs that they like it can be shared on the friends feed or direct share to their friends.

The Direct share feature

Wanting to share music but not where everyone can see? Well the Direct share feature does exactly that. On this feature this allows friends to send direct messages to friends and can share albums, artist, play-list and songs. Not only that but these messages can be liked so therefore this can show if the friend enjoyed the share.
